“ I thought this
would be just another
in my list of certifications.
It is one of my greatest
accomplishments. ”
Enitan Daramola, CBCP, PMP
PUBLIC SECTOR Working in the public sector, business continuity is concerned with public
health and safety, and the financial metric is weighted lower. Helping to
reframe colleagues’ thinking and get buy-in is more challenging. During
the pandemic, business continuity is always at the table to help with
decision-making. It has made me glad that I am a certified professional. I
can show the value of the strategies and impact the planning.
ADVANCEMENT I was applying for a new position and already had my ISO and PMP. The
manager recommended I look into ABCP and CBCP – it ushered me into a
whole new world. When I talk with someone now, I can see the difference.
It helps me explain the value of business continuity and show how things
can be improved. It changed the ground for me and opened doors. I
wouldn’t have gained my two public sector positions without the CBCP.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS When I started in business continuity, I didn’t know that I was naïve. Knowing
the flow and the framework makes it easy to put things into perspective, and
now people want to listen. I can help before we reach that point of no turning
back. When a disruption happens, people are able to fall back on their
strategies and keep working. Every time it happens, there is joy in knowing
that those strategies are in place and being used.
Take your career to the next level.
If you’ve had your ABCP for a while and you’ve been working in Business Continuity, getting your
CBCP is going to be easier than you think. You’ve gained experience and have the references to
back that up. You’ve achieved a level of advancement you can show to the world with the CBCP
credential. If you’re ready to get started, we’ll do all we can to get you there. Please check the
website for supports that help successfully complete your application.
